Inspired by Buddhist practice, Metta Institue was founded by Frank Ostaseski, to offer innovative programs on spirituality and dying.  Faculty: Ram Dass, Norman Fischer, Rachel Naomi Remen, Angles Arrien, Charlie Garfield, Frances Vaughan and Ange Stephens. Programs: 9-month EOL Care Practitioner Program, 6-Day Cultivating Presence Professional Retreat, 2-Being a Compassionate Companion Training for caregivers and volunteers. Trainings for those wanting to go beyond the medical model and care for the whole human being.
