Good karma, bad karma

I have become increasingly aware of how my karma is being played out in my life. Any advice on what I can do to increase my good karma and decrease my bad karma?

Karma Queen says:

Karma is created by our habits of mind—by our reactions to our likes and dislikes, and the subtle and not-so-subtle ways we remain blind to what’s really happening. Mindfulness practice is a form of self-investigation that allows us to see into, and dissolve, our habitual ways of thinking and responding, so we can approach each moment with more clarity and creativity. A book you might find very helpful is Emotional Alchemy by Tara Bennett-Goleman, a psychotherapist and teacher with a Buddhist perspective. She relates this suggestion from Lama Yeshe: “When your negative mind arises, you should examine it more closely. … Instead of busily doing something to distract yourself, relax and try to become aware of what you’re doing. Ask yourself, Why am I doing this? How am I doing it? What’s the cause?”
