Jazz Cats, Hip to Breath
About a month ago, NPR's "Take Five: A Weekly Jazz Sampler" offered up tracks by five overlooked jazz greats. Among them was Bennie Maupin's "Past Is Past," from his 1974 album The Jewel in the Lotus. As the title of the album suggests, Maupin's music possesses a quiet, distinctly Buddhist glow, tracing emptiness to form and back again. With Herbie Hancock on piano, Buster Williams on bass, Billy Hart on drums, and of course, Maupin himself, a wind player who brings new meaning to following the breath.

Hi, I have been reading your blog: I made a post on Honesty-past-and-truth: here it is:
Honesty Does not Equal Truth: The *Olga-Math*: Private Lessons: By Olga Lednichenko
What do you think? This is a question in:
1.
Psychology
2.
Sociology
3.
Science
4.
Physiology (When in doubt, consult someone with a deeper knowledge)
5.
ALL of the above
Now: the Psycho-Metrics -Ooops - I meant Pscho-Analysis:
IF you answered [1] –> Finish School
IF you answered [2]:
Tell me when did you graduate?
& How long did it take to switch to a Job-That-Pays.
IF you answered [3] –> Which chick were you trying to impress?
IF you answered [4] –> Read about Cognitive Dissonance
IF you answered [5] –> Hurry up, the *Noble Committee* has deadlines.
Conclusions - Sorry - I meant - Observations:
1.
Lets be honest. NONE of us is always honest
2.
Most people lie. But few admit it
3.
If you are still wondering why Honesty is not equal to Truth. You have not looked inside. Do. Its therapeutic.
Do [3] as early in life as possible - you would save YOURSELF. Some great soul said ” Be the change you want to see in the world”.
Women don’t want to always hear the honest stuff. Yes, we know.
And no. I am not talking romantic stuff. I am talking after the honeymoon period is over.
Guys, getting a woman is not hard, keeping them is.
If you still need help: Here is a hint - in muddled English –> IF honesty = Truth -> then why are they two different words.
Bonus: Without malice toward one and all: IF there is anyone whom you lied to: Trust me -> they are party to it.. too.If you believe I missed a [6] - i.e. the most important category: You are wise.
Would love to gain feedback on my ramblings:
