These days it seems that there isn't much that Christine O'Donnell hasn't "dabbled" in. Now we can add Buddhism to the list of spiritual practices that O'Donnell experimented with before becoming a Christian. In a newly released clip taken from a July 1999 taping of Bill Maher's show, the current Tea Party candidate for Delware's senate seat mentions her passing interest in Buddhism, as well as her inability to commit to becoming a Hare Krishna because of her love for meatballs:
O’Donnell: I was dabbling into every other kind of religion before I became a Christian…
Maher: You were a witch.
O’Donnell: I was. I was…
Maher: You were.
O’Donnell: I was dabbling in witchcraft. I’d dabbled in Buddhism. I would have become a Hare Krishna but I didn't want to become a vegetarian and that is honestly the reason why because I'm Italian, I love meatballs.
Maher: Boy are you spiritual.
