The Dalai Lama hosts Scientists in Dharamsala

Thanks to C4Chaos (@C4Chaos on Twitter) for this one:

Every day this week in Dharamsala, the Dalai Lama will sit down with a group of psychologists, neuroscientists, and philosophers to discuss current western understanding of the mind and its possible connections to Buddhist theory and practice. The conference, entitled Attention, Memory And The Mind, is the 18th in a series of similar meetings which stems back to 1987, and which have previously explored topics such as Quantum Physics and Eastern Contemplative Sciences, Sleeping, Dreaming and Dying and Mindfulness, Compassion and the Treatment of Depression.

Why would anyone say something like that (TD Canada's April 11 posting) without including some evidence supporting his position? Why should we believe some arbitrary person who casts aspersions at a person who is thought to be the incarnation of Avalokitseshvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion? With no explanation, we can only look upon you as being deluded and not a very good Buddhist. After all, aren't we the people who take others negativities upon ourselves, returning only compassion and love?

CANADA: The habit you should drop is the insulting dialogue at every opportunity whether anyone reads your tripe is secondary, you are digging yourself a pit where you can bow down to your own ego.

"I hate to say this, but he’s a serial exaggerator. If I was being unkind, I would say liar. But it is a habit he ought to drop,"
