If you're prepared, life's greatest obstacle—the end of it—can transform into its greatest opportunity: spiritual awakening. With the proper view and the right meditations, you can approach death with confidence instead of dread. This retreat will help you prepare for death, both for yourself and for others, by showing you what to do—before, during, and after death—in order to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Andrew Holecek is a Buddhist author and spiritual teacher. He is the author of “The Power and the Pain: Transforming Spiritual Hardship into Joy,” “Preparing to Die: Practical Advice and Spiritual Wisdom from the Tibetan Buddhist Perspective,” and the audio learning course, “Dream Yoga: The Tibetan Path of Awakening Through Lucid Dreaming” (Sounds True Studios). His work has appeared in Tricycle, the Shambhala Sun, Buddhadharma, Light of Consciousness, and the Utne Reader.
