The Tricycle Foundation Meditation Kit / Prison Project

In 2004 the Tricycle Foundation created and began to distribute a meditation kit, free of charge, to prisoners throughout the United States. The response was awe-inspiring and since then we’ve distributed nearly 1,500 kits. But with more than two million inmates in the U.S., this is just a humble beginning.

The Tricycle Foundation Prison Project is founded on the belief that our criminal justice system strips individuals of their humanity and spirit. We believe that human beings have the capacity to change and find peace even while incarcerated, and the meditation kits are designed to support those inmates who wish to build their capacity for change.

The Tricycle Foundation’s Prison Project Meditation Kits are available on the web, which makes them accessible to prisoners worldwide. Prisoners can request kits through their chaplain or librarian, who can download all kits directly from our website. For prisoners who cannot obtain the Meditation Kit in this fashion, The Tricycle Foundation is pleased to send them a kit directly. Hospital chaplains may also request free, online downloads.
