Welcome to the Tricycle Film Club! The first is The Marathon Monks of Mount Hiei, a documentary about the extreme asceticism of running Buddhists in Japan, and the second is Into Great Silence, a documentary about the everyday lives of Carthusian monks of the Grande Chartreuse, high in the French Alps.
