A hidden image of Amitabha Buddha was recently revealed in the reflection of an unassuming small bronze mirror dating back to the 15th or 16th century. The Cincinnati Art Museum’s curator states that only three other museums possess Buddhist-themed “magic mirrors” like this—rare ancient mirrors that reveal images in certain light.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka Agrees to Resign
Following months of demonstrations over the nation’s economic crisis and government corruption, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has agreed to step down. The Sri Lankan parliamentary speaker, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, announced Rajapaksa’s resignation last Saturday after thousands of protestors descended on his residence and the capital.
