One of the films we're very excited to showcase in this festival is Crazy Wisdom, Johanna Demetrakas's documentary about the controversial but hugely influential Tibetan teacher Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Allen Ginsberg considered him his guru; Thomas Merton wanted to write a book with him; Pema Chodron was his student and Joni Mitchell wrote a song about him. Watch the trailer below.

I can't wait to watch the film.
Thank you, Tricycle, for the film festival, especially "Crazy Wisdom." I took my refuge vows this year in the Shambhala Lineage. I never had the opportunity to meet our founding guru, except through the writings of Pema Chodron and later, Rinpoche's own works. This film is a major event for me. Much appreciation.
