The Buddha’s teachings on mindfulness and insight are extremely subtle; for example, everything we do, even the most familiar act such as stretching out an arm, is worth being mindful of. This power of mindfulness can arrest the movement of the arm before the hand opens a car door, signs a letter, or authorizes questionable legislation affecting the lives of people and the environment.
